About the Host
Julia Gordon-Bramer is a professional tarot reader who has been reading the cards for over 44 years. She is listed as one of St. Louis’ Top Ten Psychic (Psychic St. Louis) and St. Louis’ Number One Fortune-Teller (CBS Radio). She is a scholar of Sylvia Plath and mysticism and author of Fixed Stars Govern a Life: Decoding Sylvia Plath (2014, Stephen F. Austin State University Press)*, Decoding Sylvia Plath’s “Lady Lazarus”: Freedom’s Feminine Fire (2017, Magi Press) and Decoding Sylvia Plath’s “Daddy”: Discover the Layers of Meaning Beyond the Brute (2017, Magi Press).
In November 2024, her tell-all tales of being a professional tarot card reader, Tarot Life Lessons, will be released by Destiny Books. A biography, The Magician’s Girl: The History and Mysticism of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, is forthcoming with Inner Traditions.
A former Humanities professor and Creative Writing teacher for the graduate program at Lindenwood University, Julia is also a poet and fiction writer with many publications and awards. In 2013, The Riverfront Times voted her “Best Local Poet” in St. Louis.
